Rock Hall Race Volunteers Thank You and Upcoming Cardinal Classic Information

Thank you to all of the parents and runners who volunteered to work water stops for the Rock Hall races on Sunday. It was a beautiful day and we know that all of the participants and organizers appreciated your help!

As you all know, our invitational, the Mentor Cardinal Classic, will take place on Saturday, September 1st. In order for this meet to be successful, we need several volunteers to provide their time and/or donations that day. Many of you have already signed up (Thank you!!), but we still need more volunteers in the following areas:

Concessions
9:30 am – 11:30 am – 5 open slots
11:30 am – 1:30 pm – 2 open slots

Concession Donations
Ice chest with 2 bags of ice inside – 6 open slots
Fruit (1 bag each) – bananas, apples
Candy (24-item box each) – Skittles mix (2 boxes needed), Chocolate mix, Apple/Caramel suckers (3 – 4 bags)
Soda pop (12 can case) – Cola (2 cases needed), Diet Cola (1 case), Lemon/lime (1 case), Dr Pepper (1 case)

Course Work
8:30 am – 11 am – 2 open slots
10:45 – 12:30 am – 6 open slots

Parking
7:30 am – 12:30 pm – 8 open slots

Please remember that no matter where you decide to help, you will be able to take a break to watch your runner(s) (this is especially true when we have all slots filled!!). Race times are Varsity Girls – 9 am, Varsity Boys – 9:35 am, Open Girls – 10:10 am, Open Boys – 10:50 am, Middle School Girls – 11:30 am, Middle School Boys – noon.

Finally, also please remember that each family is asked to provide an 8 pack of Gatorade (20 oz. bottles only please).
