Race Recap: Greater Cleveland Conference (GCC) Cross Country Championships

This week the teams competed at their conference meet at Strongsville high school. This is the teams second time running the course this season and most athletes bettered their previous time or were only a few seconds off. Both the varsity and junior varsity sides finished 3rd to two state ranked sides in Solon (1) and Medina. While both teams were outside the top two they narrowed the gap with both teams, indicating great races to come. Michael Ferro(16:40) and Tyler Fuerst (16:25) both had great races which rooted the teams high finish. Sal Rocco led the team in the JV race, finishing 3rd overall. After this weekend, the team will continue onto districts and hopefully deeper into the post season with confidence. Race results can be found on the GCC race page.
