Race Recap: McDonough Invitational Boys Team
On September 17, the Mentor boys and girls fought the elements at McDonough. The rain made the course full of mud and other tough conditions. Even though there was not an increase in personal records broken, many good things came out of this weekend. Both the girls and the boys teams used the hill to their advantage while maintaining control down and up it. While the boys and girls varsity were running the course there was a full team support to cheer them on up the hill and through other parts of the fairly challenging course. The boys open saw a great amount of underclassmen properly pacing themselves and using the hill to their advantage making sure to pass people on the way. There was a great chemistry of running between Sean Reardon and Isaac Mansi as each runner made sure to not let the other fall behind. Complete race results can found on the McDonough Invitational race page.
